The 8th Annual Academic Conference of the Andrology Branch of the Hangzhou Medical Association was recently held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. At this significant event, the multi-center research project focusing on the treatment of vascular erectile dysfunction (ED) using the low-energy extracorporeal shock wave E300 was officially inaugurated.

This important research initiative is spearheaded by Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and involves a collaborative effort with several esteemed institutions, including Hangzhou First People’s Hospital, Hangzhou University Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang Xiaoshan Hospital, Hangzhou Ninth People’s Hospital (Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine), Jiande First People’s Hospital, and Linping District First People’s Hospital. Together, these institutions aim to advance the application of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) in the field of andrology.

The E300 device represents a significant innovation in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, utilizing low-energy shock wave technology to enhance vascular function and improve patient outcomes. This research project will explore the effectiveness and practical applications of ESWT in a real-world setting.

Dornier and Wikkon are committed to advancing technological innovation and research in andrology and related fields. We are excited about the potential benefits this research will bring to patients and look forward to contributing to the progress and development of effective treatments in this important area of medicine.
