I recommend teeing it forward at Gardner, which will make for a more fun round! On the scorecard, the yardage isn't impressive, but the course has natural defenses of thick rough, tree lined fairways and small greens. Back nine starts off fun but once you get to 12 and 13 and have water all along one side is not fun to me. You can occasionally get some pretty harsh bounces that turn good/decent shots into penalties, but there aren't many.The bunkers need A LOT of help and some are being filled in/turned in to grass bunkers--good move! Simply put the conditions of the course are horrible, and there really is no excuse as the weather has been pretty mild this entire summer. I have played hunters Ridge many times and its one of my favorite courses but its probably in the worst shape Ive ever seen it in the cart paths are awful theyre taking out sand bunkers and havent fixed them yet the sand bunkers they do have a little sanding them this course need some money put into it and I guarantee you golfers will come back.
